NHL Trade Rumors: 2 Blue Jackets Trade Candidates To Watch
The Columbus Blue Jackets are heading in the wrong direction, as they have lost each of their last three games and are now at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division standings. If they do not turn things around as the season goes on, they could be sellers this season.
Due to this, let's take a look at three Blue Jackets who could get traded this season.
Yegor Chinakhov
Chinakhov is an obvious trade candidate to watch on the Blue Jackets, as he requested a trade during the offseason. The former first-round pick would benefit from a change of scenery, and he has generated a lot of trade interest this season. With this, don't be surprised if he finds a new home before the deadline passes.
Charlie Coyle
If the Blue Jackets find themselves out of a playoff spot as the season carries on, Coyle will be a clear player to keep an eye on. The veteran center is a pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) and would be a popular target for contenders looking for help down the middle. He works very well as a third-line center and both special team units, so there would be a lot of interest in him if he is made available.
