NHL Rumors: 3 Columbus Blue Jackets Trade Candidates
The Columbus Blue Jackets are struggling big time, as they have lost each of their last five games and eight out of their last 10. If the Blue Jackets end up falling out of the playoff race and be sellers, these three players will need to be watched as trade candidates.
Boone Jenner
If the Blue Jackets end up being sellers, Jenner will be a big trade candidate to keep an eye on. The veteran forward is a pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) and is exactly the kind of hard-nosed top-six forward that contenders love to target.
Charlie Coyle
Coyle could be another pending UFA on the Blue Jackets to watch if Columbus ends up being sellers. Teams looking for help down the middle on their third line certainly could target Coyle, as he provides solid secondary offensive production and plays well defensively.
Yegor Chinakhov
Chinakhov has been in the rumor mill for a long time now, and it certainly seems likely that he will find a new home before the trade deadline passes. The young forward's skill and potential could lead to him generating plenty of interest as we inch closer to the deadline.
