NHL Rumors: 3 Seattle Kraken Trade Candidates
After a nice start to the 2025-26 season, the Seattle Kraken have fallen back down to Earth in a big way. They have lost five straight games and look more like the team that they were last season.
If the Kraken continue to struggle and are out of a playoff spot closer to the deadline, they will likely be sellers. Due to this, let's look at three Kraken players who could get traded this season.
Jamie Oleksiak
Oleksiak is undoubtedly a trade candidate to watch this season from the Kraken. The pending UFA is exactly the kind of shutdown defenseman that playoff teams are always looking to add, so he should generate interest.
Mason Marchment
Marchment is another pending UFA from the Kraken who could end up being on the move by the deadline. The big winger is capable of providing solid secondary scoring with grit, so he shuould be a popular target from playoff clubs looking to improve their top nine.
Jaden Schwartz
Schwartz is currently sidelined due to injury, but that should not stop him from generating interest closer to the deadline. The 33-year-old forward is a solid middle-six winger who puts up strong offensive totals, so teams looking for help on offense should be calling Seattle about Schwartz.
