WATCH: Zeev Buium's Remarkable Debut With Canucks
It only took blue-chip prospect Zeev Buium 60 seconds to make his mark in his first game with the Vancouver Canucks. And it just kept getting better. The key piece in the return from the Minnesota Wild in the Quinn Hughes trade began his Canucks' career with a bang — two points on the power play in a 2-1 win over the New Jersey Devils (you know... the team that was supposed to get Quinn Hughes).
Buium was immediately handed the quarterbacking duties on the first power play unit, and picked up an assist on Jake DeBrusk's goal for his first point as a Canuck at 18:59 of the first period.
Less than six minutes later, Buium picked up his first goal with the team, also on the power play. That would turn out to be the game-winning goal.

It's 7 minutes into his first game with the Canucks.
Talk about a first impression.
The 20-year-old has already etched his name in the Canucks record books as well, and this part is remarkable as well:
Within his first 7 minutes with the @Canucks, Zeev Buium became the first defenseman with 2+ points during his first period with the team and the youngest Vancouver blueliner with a point in his club debut since Quinn Hughes. #NHLStats

Buium became the first defenseman with at least two points during his first period with the team. But more notably, at 20 years and 7 days, he is the youngest Canucks blueliner with a point in his team debut since... wait for it... Quinn Hughes.
You can't make this stuff up.
Buium came to Vancouver in the blockbuster Hughes trade after playing his first 31 regular-season games in the NHL with the Wild, where he recorded 14 points, while averaging 18:28 of ice time per game (he also played four playoff games with the Wild last spring).
Buium played 19:50 in his first Canucks contest and was named the second star.
