NHL Rumors: Bruins Trade Offer For Rasmus Andersson Revealed
The Flames are believed to be trying to land this deal before the NHL Olympic break (Feb. 6 to 25), with Elliotte Friedman noting the talks have ramped up again.
James Murphy reveals Boston’s Andersson package
Per Murphy’s reporting, the Bruins’ offer includes Lohrei and a 2026 first, and Boston has the ammo to shop aggressively because it holds two 2026 first rounders, including one acquired in the Brandon Carlo trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs last year.
According to @MurphysLaw74 of @TheRGMedia the #NHLBruins have offered their own first round pick and Mason Lohrei for Rasmus Andersson. Anderson is turning 30 this year is a RHD with 10-19-29 in 46 games. He’s also a pending UFA so he'll need an extension. https://t.co/aGCqVB9ndA

Lohrei has 4 goals and 15 assists (19 points) this season, along with a +6 plus/minus rating across 42 games, giving Boston a young, NHL ready puck mover to dangle in a right shot market that is always thin.
Last season, he recorded five goals, 33 total points, 103 hits, and a whopping -43 plus/minus rating over 77 games played. He was a second-round pick (58th overall) by Boston in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
What it means for Calgary, plus the teams lurking
Andersson is a legitimate top four right shot defenseman, he is producing with 10 goals and 19 assists (29 points) this season, and he is finishing a contract that carries a $4.55M cap hit before he can hit UFA status this summer.
While the #Flames may very well be having trade discussions for Rasmus Andersson, the fact that he remains in the lineup tonight tells me there's nothing close on the trade front.

Murphy also has Detroit and Ottawa in the mix, with the Detroit Red Wings reportedly wanting extension clarity and keeping Simon Edvinsson and Axel Sandin Pellikka off the table.
