Breaking: Tyler Myers Pulled From Canucks Lineup For Trade-Related Reasons
It appears that the next shoe is set to drop for the Vancouver Canucks. And in somewhat of a surprise, it sounds like it's defenseman Tyler Myers who could be the next one out the door. The Canucks have pulled him from the lineup for Wednesday night's game for trade-related reasons.
I am told Tyler Myers sitting tonight against Winnipeg for trade reasons.

According to insider Rick Dhaliwal, the 6'8" blueliner has drawn plenty of trade interest, but he says as of now, the d-man has not waived his no-move clause. His NMC reverts to a 12-team trade list on July 1. But for now, he has full control.
Rick is correct. The Canucks have a trade option they’ve asked Myers to consider. He has protection and is taking his time to consider. I’m told it was presented two days ago. The veteran and his agent, J.P Barry continue to deliberate. https://t.co/RnUemEcDfX

Insider Darren Dreger has followed up with confirmation that Vancouver has a trade option from a team that they've asked Myers to consider. Dreger says it was presented two days ago, but now with the team set to return to the ice for its first game post-Olympic break, hosting the Winnipeg Jets tonight, they've decided to sit him out while he contemplates his next move.
Myers is in his 7th year with the team, and has always said this season he wanted to remain in Vancouver, and would be opposed to a trade. He has one year remaining on his deal after this one, with a $3M cap hit. He has eight points in 57 games this season, with a -25 rating on the last-place Canucks.
More to come...
