NHL Rumors: 3 Trade Destinations for Predators' Michael Bunting
The Nashville Predators are expected to be among the NHL's selling teams leading up to the 2026 NHL trade deadline. Due to this, several of their players have been creating chatter as trade candidates. Forward Michael Bunting is one of them.
With Bunting being a pending unrestricted free agent (UFA), there should be several playoff clubs looking to add him as a rental. With this, let's take a look at three teams that could try to acquire him leading up to the deadline.
Boston Bruins
The Bruins should be looking to add another skilled winger to their middle six leading up to the deadline. Because of this, it would make a lot of sense for them to pursue Bunting. If the Bruins landed him, he would give them another option for their second line. However, he could also work on their third line, as he would have the potential to give them much-needed secondary scoring.
Detroit Red Wings
The Red Wings could be another team to watch when it comes to Bunting. When looking at Detroit's roster, it is fair to argue that they could use another impactful winger in their top nine. Bringing in Bunting would provide them with just that. Furthermore, he would give the Red Wings a bit more bite, which would not be a bad thing for Detroit to have come playoff time.
Washington Capitals
The Capitals are looking to keep their playoff hopes alive. One of their top needs is another winger, and it is fair to wonder if Bunting could grab their attention because of it. When looking at their current lineup, Bunting could slot nicely into their middle six and would provide them with another solid option to work with on their power play.
