Since joining the Wild mid-season last year, the 31-year-old has recorded eight goals and 18 total points across 73 games. He's averaged 11:30 time on ice.
This move is clearly to free up a forward spot for the Wild, who acquired Bobby Brink and Nick Foligno earlier today.
That will probably do it in terms of trades for the Wild, with the 3pm trade deadline looming.
Over his 11-year career, Hinostroza has suited up for seven different NHL teams, including the Panthers in the 2020-21 season, where he got into just nine games.
Across 460 total NHL games, 5-foot-10 forward has recorded 62 goals and 171 points across 460 games played.
