Panthers’ AJ Greer Hit With Multi-Game Suspension
Greer shoved an unaware, vulnerable Zary from behind, causing him to plow head-first into the boards horribly.

"Why would you do that?" was the exasperated call from the broadcast booth. "What else could you take away but an intent to injury?"
Greer received a five-minute major for interference, and now a three-game ban. But many feel it should have been a lot worse.
The DoPS, of course, has already been under intense scrutiny after the controversial, and most feel, lenient, five-game suspension on Radko Gudas for ending Auston Matthews's season with a knee-on-knee hit.
Matthews' agent called that ruling “laughable and preposterous.”
We can't wait to hear what adjectives are used to describe this latest inexplicable decision.
This hit on Connor Zary is the most dangerous play in hockey & it’s completely avoidable. It’s also unacceptable by AJ Greer. It’s not a hockey play, it an intent to injure with the consequences being a broken neck & paralysis. I was injured just like this. No more. https://t.co/WpHsyBjyvF

A.J. Greer has been suspended three games for boarding Connor Zary. Another prime example of @NHLPlayerSafety not taking these incidents seriously enough.#goavsgo @thehockeynews

For Greer, it's his second career suspension.
For Zary, he's being listed as day-to-day for the time being.
