3 Chicago Blackhawks Offseason Trade Candidates

Tyler Bertuzzi, Chicago Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks will once again finish this season at the bottom of the Central Division standings. It is not surprising, as the Blackhawks are still rebuilding and focused on the future.

With this, it would not necessarily be surprising if they move some players during the offseason. Because of this, let's look at three Blackhawks trade candidates for the offseason.

Tyler Bertuzzi

Bertuzzi has had a strong second season with the Blackhawks, as he has a career-high 32 goals and has 56 points in 76 games. Could this lead to Chicago selling high on the 6-foot-2 winger this summer? At 31 years old, he might not be the best long-term fit for the Blackhawks, and he could get Chicago a good return in a move.

Ryan Donato

Donato's name came up in the rumor mill leading up to the deadline, and it would not be surprising if teams kicked tires on him during the summer. While he did not replicate his 31-goal and 62-point 2024-25 season this campaign, he is still a very solid top-nine forward who can play multiple positions. Therefore, he would be a good pickup for a playoff team if the Blackhawks made him available.

Arvid Soderblom

Soderblom is entering the final season of his contract in 2026-27, and he could be a goalie the Blackhawks are open to moving. The Blackhawks have Drew Commesso waiting in the wings, so that could make Chicago open to dealing Soderblom. Teams looking for a backup goalie could consider pursuing Soderblom.
