3 Offseason Trade Fits for Flames' Blake Coleman

Blake Coleman, Calgary Flames

Calgary Flames forward Blake Coleman will certainly be a trade candidate to watch during the summer. With the Flames rebuilding, they could listen to offers for the veteran forward again during the offseason.

Because of this, let's look at three teams that could look to acquire Coleman this offseason.

Dallas Stars

The Stars were heavily linked to Coleman leading up to the deadline, and it would be understandable if they targeted him this summer because of it. With the Stars being contenders, it would make a lot of sense if they brought in a two-time Stanley Cup champion like Coleman to their top nine. The Planto, Texas native would also give them another gritty forward who can score.

Buffalo Sabres

The Sabres have taken a nice step forward this season, and it would not be surprising if they looked to add a player like Coleman this summer because of it. Coleman would give Buffalo a good veteran forward who can play multiple positions, kills penalties, and plenty provides of energy. With this, he would be a very good pickup for a team on the rise like the Sabres.

Minnesota Wild

The Wild could be another team to keep an eye on when it comes to Coleman. When looking at their roster, it is clear that Minnesota could use a forward like Coleman in their middle six. With this, it would make sense if they looked to add him this summer.
