Brady Tkachuk Says He 'Lost His Vision' On Ice in 'Scary' Moment
It was a scary scene over the weekend for Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk. He stumbled and lost his balance after turning his head, and barely made it off the ice.
He's now explained that he temporarily lost his vision, and called it one of the "weirdest" and "scary" moments he's ever experienced.
Tkachuk said this was one of the "weirdest" and "scary" moments he's endured. Earlier in the game, Tkachuk threw a hit in the corner of the ice and temporarily lost his vision.

In the clip below, Tkachuk also lost his vision, again, as he turned away from Ryan Pulock. https://t.co/F6CnSiVsZD
Tkachuk said he 'just kind of lost (my) vision'
“That was one of the weirdest, scariest moments,” Tkachuk said. “All the tests came back. I’m good. I threw a hit in the corner and then slowly my vision started going. Nothing hit me in the head all game… I just kind of lost vision.
“When (Thomas Chabot) was turning the corner there, I just kind of lost vision. You guys saw the video, (Pulock’s) stick never hit me coming off the bench. When I sat down, I got everything back really quick, but it was nerve-wracking and scary. I wasn’t feeling good.”
Tkachuk has now undergone a battery of tests and says he's feeling A-OK, and has confirmed that he’ll be good to go for Game 1 of the playoffs against the East's top-seeded Carolina Hurricanes this coming weekend.
As would be expected, he will sit out the Senators' meaningless regular-season finale against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night.
The 26-year-old Tkachuk had 22 goals and 37 assists for 59 points in 60 games this season with a plus/minus rating of +4.
