Canucks' Elias Pettersson Will Reject Offseason Trade Offers

Elias Pettersson heard the trade rumors all season long during his disappointing year with the Vancouver Canucks, and even though the team finished dead last, Pettersson isn't interested in waiving his no-movement clause.

The 27-year-old center spoke to the media at his end-of-season media availability, and reiterated the fact he's committed to the Canucks, and isn't interested waiving his trade protection to facilitate a deal. Pettersson is signed through the 2032 season at $11.6 million AAV, and in 74 games, scored 15 times, and added 36 assists.

Canucks' president Jim Rutherford gave his yearly awkward press conference to cap off a brutal year for the team, and called out Pettersson for his lack of production. Rutherford's tried to trade him multiple times, and it's obvious things are running their course between the two. The only thing is, it's likely that Pettersson stays and Rutherford goes at this point.

Keep an eye on the Canucks, they are a mess, they're in search of a new GM, and Rutherford certainly has one foot out the door.
