NHL Rumors: 2 Under-The-Radar Canucks Offseason Trade Candidates

Nils Hoglander, Vancouver Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks are entering this offseason as a very interesting team to watch. With the Canucks being in a rebuild, there is a real chance that we will see multiple of their players get moved this summer. Among the players who have come up in the rumor mill as trade candidates because of it are Brock Boeser, Elias Pettersson, and Jake DeBrusk.

However, the Canucks also have two under-the-radar trade candidates who should be watched during this summer. Let's take a look at each of them now.

Nils Hoglander

Hoglander is in need of a fresh start, and this has been the case for multiple seasons now. This had led to him coming up in the rumor mill in the past, and it is fair to wonder if this will be the summer that he gets moved. The 25-year-old forward had a tough 2025-26 season, as he recorded two goals and five points in 38 games. While this is the case, the former 24-goal scorer could generate some interest around the NHL this summer from teams who feel that he has the potential to bounce back.

Drew O'Connor

O'Connor is another Canucks forward who could end up being moved this summer. The 27-year-old winger will be entering the final season of his contract in 2026-27 and will be a pending unrestricted free agent. Due to this, it would be understandable if the Canucks at least listened to offers for him during the offseason. He would have the potential to get them a solid return, as he scored a career-high 17 goals and had 29 points in 82 games this season.
