Report: New York Rangers to trade Vincent Trocheck
The New York Rangers were very close to trading Vincent Trocheck ahead of this season's trade deadline, and trade talks are expected to pick up ahead of the NHL Draft.
There's been multiple reports surfacing over the last week that the Rangers will once again be listening to trade offers, as they're heading for a full rebuild. The Rangers are in line for a top-five pick, and could land a significant trade return when/if they move Trocheck.

The Washington Capitals, Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Hurricanes, San Jose Sharks, and Los Angeles Kings are expected to have serious interest and make trade offers. The Hurricanes and Kings were in advanced trade talks ahead of the trade deadline in March.
Trocheck, 32, has three years left $5.6 million AAV and owns a 10-team no-trade clause. He's not expected to approve a deal to a non-contending team as Trocheck has his eyes on a Stanley Cup at this stage of his career.
The Rangers are open to a top prospect with top-six potential, a first-round pick, and one piece that's NHL ready to step into the lineup next season. After sitting Trocheck out of the lineup leading up to the trade deadline, it certainly feels like this time around, he's played his last game in the Big Apple.
