Report: Anaheim Ducks Contemplating Trade Offers on Mason McTavish

The Anaheim Ducks took a major step forward on the ice this season, and it sounds like general manager Pat Verbeek is going to take some major steps forward off the ice this offseason. Trade talks are buzzing around the Ducks these days, and it's all reportedly centered around Mason McTavish.

It was a wild season for McTavish, as the 23-year-old pesky forward saw his role diminish at times this season with the Ducks, and then when he was given the opportunity to play meaningful minutes,  he played some stellar hockey.

The former third-overall pick recorded 41 points in 75 games this season, a slightly down year after a 52-point campaign in 2024-25. Heading into the Stanley Cup Playoffs, many thought McTavish would play a key role, and that wasn't necessarily the case. He appeared in 10 games and scored once and added five assists, meanwhile was also a healthy scratch for two playoff games, which certainly was on the radar of onlooking teams.

Verbeek's been hearing from other GM's around the league with their trade offers, as the writing is on the wall, and McTavish will be traded this summer. According to The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun several teams have inquired about the asking price for McTavish.

The Ducks have some major decisions to make this summer, including contract extensions for restricted free agents Leo Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier, Pavel Mintyukov, and Olen Zellweger, plus unrestricted free agents John Carlson, Jacob Trouba, and Radko Gudas.

Where will McTavish wind up? Let us know in the comments.
