NHL Rumors: 2 Winnipeg Jets Offseason Trade Targets
The Winnipeg Jets disappointed in a major way this season and missed the playoffs because of it. With this, the Jets should respond by having a busy offseason. The Jets are entering the summer with plenty of roster needs to address.
Due to this, let's look at two trade targets who the Jets should make a big push for during the offseason.
Robert Thomas
One of the Jets' biggest needs is another top-six center. Due to this, it would make a lot of sense if they made a serious push for Thomas. The St. Louis Blues listened to offers for the star center leading up to the deadline, and he would form an amazing one-two punch with Mark Scheifele down the middle for the Jets if acquired. In 64 games this season with St. Louis, he had 25 goals, 39 assists, 64 points, and a plus-22 rating.
Brock Boeser
The Jets have yet to find a true replacement for Nikolaj Ehlers in their top six since he signed with the Carolina Hurricanes last offseason. Because of this, Brock Boeser could be a player who grabs their attention. With the Canucks rebuilding, questions about Boeser's future in Vancouver have come up. If he is made available, he would be a good player for the Jets to target. In 75 games this season with Vancouver, he had 22 goals, 26 assists, and 48 points.
