Anaheim Ducks' Troy Terry Undergoes Surgery, Out 6 Months
Ducks forward Troy Terry underwent successful surgery on June 9 to address hip impingement and a labral tear. He has begun the rehabilitation process and is expected to make a full recovery in approximately 5-6 months.
Terry further established himself as one of the inspirational leaders of the Ducks after battling through injuries all season and appearing in the first postseason of his eight-year career.
The Ducks are going to be busy this offseason as word is out John Carlson won't be returning to the team. Mason McTavish is on the trade block as the player has reportedly requested a trade out of Anaheim. The Ducks have been linked to Dylan Larkin of the Detroit Red Wings, and we'll see where trade talks take both sides heading into the NHL Draft next weekend.
Terry, 28, has four years left on his current contract, owed $7 million AAV. The Ducks don't have a first-round pick at next week's draft, but have over $30 million in cap space, and McTavish on the trade market.
