Dylan Larkin Submits 3-Team List of Prefered Trade Destinations
We have a new development in the Dylan Larkin Trade Drama. According to Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press, Larkin has submitted to the Detroit Red Wings a list of three teams that he would be interested in being traded to.
🚨 Dylan Larkin reportedly submits 3 team list of place he wants to go in trade from Red Wings:

St. James reports the list as follows:
- Florida Panthers
- Minnesota Wild
- Vegas Golden Knights
This would jibe with what insider Elliotte Friedman had previously reported, that Larkin would have no interest going to another team on the fringes of contention, with his heart set instead on a real NHL power.
The Golden Knights are just two games from winning the Stanley Cup, the Wild are a major contender on the rise, with the likes of Quinn Hughes and Kirill Kaprizov, and the Panthers, although they were out of the playoffs in a down year this season, are still the two-time defending Cup champions and should be back in contention with the return of Sasha Barkov and overall better health.
Another short list of Larkin prefered destinations reported
Of note, another insider also reported on a short list being submitted by Larkin, but it differed slightly from the one above. Nick Kypreos indicated on the Kyper & Bourne Show that Larkin's short list consisted of Minnesota "and the two Florida teams."
No doubt, the Tampa Bay Lightning would fit that 'teams that are really close' paradigm.
Meanwhile, former NHL GM Doug MacLean is disappointed that Larkin "didn't contribute more to getting (the Red Wings) to the playoffs", and feels that the Detroit captain is more of a No. 2 center on a title contender, rather than the No. 1 that he's been with the Wings.
"I like Dylan Larkin, but he's a long way from a franchise player."@DougMacLean joins @RealKyper and @jtbourne to weigh in on Larkin's trade value.

"I like Dylan Larkin, but he's a long way from a franchise player," said MacLean.
Larkin has spent his entire 11-year career with the Red Wings, but has had just one taste of the playoffs in that time, and that was way back in his rookie season. It's been a decade on the outside looking in for the Wings since then.
The report emerged last week that Larkin had requested a trade, though neither the Wings or Larkin's camp have commented as yet.
The soon-to-be 30-year-old recorded 34 goals and 67 points in 74 games this season with a +3 rating. He has five years remaining on his 8-year contract with an $8.7 million AAV.
