Report: Maple Leafs in advanced trade talks on Brandon Carlo
Expect to see some significant roster changes coming to the Toronto Maple Leafs, including defenceman Brandon Carlo being dealt.
Carlo's name surfaced ahead of March's trade deadline, and it's once again hitting headlines, as the towering right-handed defenceman could very well be moved by the Leafs new trade-happy GM John Chayka this summer.

Carlo, 29, is on Toronto's cap for $3.4 million as the Boston Bruins retained some of his $4.1 million AAV in the Fraser Minten trade, which also saw the Maple Leafs give up a first-round pick. Needless to say, that's one of the many reasons Brad Treliving is out of a job.
Carlo appeared in 55 games last season, chipping in with seven assists. So far in 75 games as a Leaf over the course of a year and a half, Carlo has yet to score and has 10 total points. He's lost a step and played through several injuries last season and hasn't been able to find his game in blue and white.
The Maple Leafs want to reshape their blueline for next season and are expected to make several trades this summer, as soon as a couple weeks from Buffalo's NHL Draft. Morgan Rielly is also expected to be traded.
William Nylander, John Tavares, and Auston Matthews all voiced their displeasure over the makeup of Toronto's blueline and pushed management to find some more mobile defencemen who can advance the puck.
Now we wait to see how Chayka pulls this off and keeps Matthews happy enough to stick around Toronto long term.
