"There's been some serious trade activity in the last little bit," said insider David Pagnotta, and he says "if this does happen, he'll be traded out East."
Insider Marco D'Amico has indicated that he's "hearing lots of noise around the Philadelphia Flyers" with respect to Bourque.
A first-round pick in 2020, Bourque, now 24, is starting to approach the promise that he held, as he registered 20 goals and 41 points in 82 games last season, while averaging 15:29 of ice time per night.
The Stars have a serious cap crunch, however, with just $9.2 million in cap space, and still hoping to find a way to re-sign RFA Jason Robertson.
The Flyers are in the mix in the Bourque trade conversation but so are other teams, but I’m told nothing is done yet and a lot with Bourque is hinging on what happens with Jason Robertson in Dallas. If Robertson gets moved, Bourque probably isn’t going anywhere.

If the Stars are able to arrange for a trade of their All-Star forward Robertson, then their cap situation is alleviated, and they'll have room to re-sign Bourque.
Something to keep an eye on as the day progresses.
