Report: Canucks' Elias Pettersson Rejected Offseason Trade Offers

It's not secret the Vancouver Canucks are open to moving Elias Pettersson, but it turns out, the Swedish center hasn't been interested with the options presented to him so far this summer. Pettersson owns a full no-movement clause, and has full control over his own destiny.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are one of the teams who have made a trade offer for Pettersson this summer, but again, he wasn't interested in waiving his no-movement clause.

The Carolina Hurricanes, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Seattle Kraken, Philadelphia Flyers, and Chicago Blackhawks have all had interest in Pettersson over the past 12 months, but to this point, it feels like he's going to try and reset himself as a Canuck.

Pettersson is signed through the 2032 season at $11.6 million AAV. Last season in 74 games, the former first-round pick scored 15 goals and 51 points. He hasn't topped the point-per-game mark since the 2024 season and has been slumping on both sides of the puck since.

Keep an eye on the Canucks, they are open to making more moves as their rebuild continues. While Pettersson appears to be staying for now, the likes of Jake DeBrusk, Brock Boeser, and Thatcher Demko are all available on the trade market. For the right price, of course.
