Bjorck was selected by the Jets with the eighth overall pick at last month's draft in Buffalo. Bjorck is ready to make the jump to pro hockey in North America, after cutting ties with Djurgardens IF of the Swedish Hockey League last week.
Bjorck was one of the best centers available for the Jets at No.8, and projects to be a top-six forward, who is pesky, tough to play against, and has a ton of offensive upside. At just 5-foot-10 and 172 pounds, there's certainly a number of question marks that still need to be answered about Bjorck's game.#GoJetsGo sign '26 #8 Viggo Bjorck to a 3 year ELC

This past season with Djurgardens, Bjorck posted six goals and nine assists for 15 points, working his way up their lineup and eventually on the top line. He also chipped in with three points in three playoff games.
Bjorck was a huge part of the Swedish team taking home the gold medal at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Champions, finishing the tournament seventh in scoring. Bjork also played for Sweden at the World Championships in the spring and posted six points in eight games, and was the leading scorer for anyone 18 and under in the tournament.
