Quinn Hughes Continues To Be Linked To New Jersey Devils

The Quinn Hughes saga continues, and we'll we've certainly made some headlines during this summer on what his future looks like, we're not the only ones that see the mobile defenceman heading to the New Jersey Devils.

After our recent post linking trade talks between the Minnesota Wild and the Devils, several news outlets, including The Athletic stated that was far from the truth. Turns out, Hughes heading to New Jersey is front and center on the minds of many, as it's been widely documented the Hughes brothers would like to play in the NHL together, and right now, they're as close as they've ever been.

From what we know, the contract extension talks with Bill Guerin and Hughes have not advanced to being close to finalized. Quinn continues to mull the option of waiting it out, giving Minnesota another shot this season, and then punting the contract talks until next summer. Recently, former NHLer and NHL.com analyst, Mike Rupp stated he sees Hughes playing out this season, and then signing with the Devils next summer:
