Anaheim Ducks Sign 4th-Liner Tim Washe To Multi-Year Contract

With even bottom-six players pulling in exploding salary numbers these days, the Anaheim Ducks have finally taken a proactive step and locked up their fourth-line, grinding center Tim Washe to a four-year deal.

The contract carries a $2.25 million AAV.  

The 6'3", 215-pounder had two goals, five points and 91 hits in 39 contests with the Ducks last season, and ranked second among all NHL rookies in faceoff win percentage (58.0%). 

While down in the minors, Washe made the AHL All-Star game last year, and had some promising numbers with the San Diego Gulls, with 14 goals and 27 points in 36 games with a +6 rating. 

He was undrafted out of college, after a five-year career at Western Michigan University. He captained the team, and helped lead them to the 2025 NCAA national championship. 

Washe signed a one-year entry-level deal with the Ducks, which was followed by a two-year deal with an $812,500 AAV. He has one year to run on that one, before the new four-year extension kicks in in 2027-28.

He is projected to center the Ducks' fourth line this coming season, likely flanked by Jeff Malott and Sam Colangelo.
