NHL Trade Rumors: 3 Teams Linked to Oilers' Tristan Jarry

The Edmonton Oilers are seeing what kind of trade market is out there for struggling goaltender Tristan Jarry.

Jarry has appeared in six games this season, posting a 3-1-2 record, along with a .889 save percentage and while up-and-comer Devon Levi is currently injured, that doesn't mean the trade talks around Jarry are quieting down anytime soon.

Recently, Jack Nessel of Daily Faceoff Edmonton touched on the 9-2-2 Oilers, and exactly where Jarry could be shipped off to. Jarry holds a $5.3 million AAV cap hit, which isn't necessarily ideal for what level of performance we've seen out of him since joining the Oilers.
Ottawa Senators: Even though Linus Ullmark is only expected to miss a couple of weeks at this time, his injury history and the lack of depth behind him could cause Steve Staios to want to make a deal with his old club to help Ottawa between the pipes. The Senators have a little cap space, and if Jarry continues to keep up a strong run of play, he could be an excellent 1B type for them down the stretch.

Los Angeles Kings: The Kings currently bounce back and forth between Darcy Kuemper and Anton Forsberg in net, neither to great effect. Neither of them is signed beyond this season. This may allow for some intrigue regarding Jarry, as he is signed for next season.

Detroit Red Wings: With over $20 million in current cap space, several expensive contracts about to come off the books, an imminent Dylan Larkin trade which, while unlikely, could see the team shed some salary, and no goaltenders signed beyond this season, this might be a very realistic fit for Tristan Jarry as the Red Wings may need to take on some contracts just to reach the climbing 2027-28 salary cap floor.

We'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see a potential Jarry trade transpire, as Levi is still out a couple of weeks.
