Panthers' Brad Marchand helped off ice after ugly collision
The Florida Panthers have been struck by some bad injury luck, and after captain Aleksander Barkov recently hurt his knee, Brad Marchand has also done the same. Marchand was driving to the net on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Kings and got tangled up in the worst way.
Marchand was driving to the net in the second period and had his left leg buckle underneath him, and by his immediate reaction, unfortunately, this doesn't look good. No word yet on timelines, but it's likely Marchand will have an MRI on Wednesday, and based on how it looked, is likely going to miss significant time.

Marchand finished the night with two shots on net and 9:36 of ice-time. The 38-year-old is coming off surgery this past summer on an undisclosed injury, which is never good when you're creeping up there in age, like Marchand is. He just returned for his first game of the season on Sunday, and had an assist and three shots in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Anaheim Ducks.
Barkov is out six-to-eight weeks, so the Panthers are crossing their fingers this timeline for Marchand's return will be similar.
