Elliotte Friedman: Re Ivan Miroshnichenko future/Capitals: He's had trouble getting into the lineup; the Capitals are so deep; this guy told me there's a bunch of teams watching him - 32 Thoughts (10/15)

Miroshnichenko, 22, is a former 2022 first-round pick of the Capitals, and has appeared in one game this season, playing just over 10 minutes, while potting a goal. Last season, the Russian forward saw 13 games of NHL action, chipping in with three points, while posting a great season with the AHL's Hershey Bears, collecting 34 points in 41 games.

Since being selected in the first round, Miroshnichenko has just 53 games of NHL experience under his belt, including six goals and eight assists, for 14 points. The Capitals are off to a 4-3-0 start, and certainly having been setting the league on fire just yet.

There's going to be a ton of interest in Miroshnichenko. A few teams to keep an eye on include the San Jose Sharks, Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks, Nashville Predators, and Calgary Flames.
