Report: 5 Teams Linked To Blue Jackets’ Dmitri Voronkov
The Fourth Period lists the Vancouver Canucks, Nashville Predators, Chicago Blackhawks, Seattle Kraken, and Ottawa Senators.
Falling Out Of Favour
Voronkov’s future in Columbus seems bleak and the Blue Jackets might prefer to package him in a deal for an upgrade.
TSN’s Pierre LeBrun reported a couple of weeks ago that multiple teams have called about Voronkov and that Columbus is listening, though a trade isn’t guaranteed.
Chris Johnston ranked him No. 3 on his Oct. 27 trade board, writing there’s a wide gap between what Voronkov could be and what he actually is, and noting questions about his level of commitment.
Elliotte Friedman: Outside of Detroit, things are relatively calm on the trade front. There is Dmitri Voronkov, Ivan Miroshnichenko, Nino Niederreiter, some depth players and a couple of unresolved situations, including Shane Wright and Connor Zary - 10/30 #CBJ #ALLCAPS #NHL https://t.co/KECsqD6894

He's been a healthy scratch in multiple games, and The Athletic’s Aaron Portzline wrote Voronkov has “run aground” with the Blue Jackets.
He has no goals and two assists in eight games this season and a career-low 10:36 in ice time per game.
The Contract And The Market
Voronkov stands 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, and had a career-high 23 goals and 47 points in 73 games in 2024-25. He followed that up last season with 17 goals and 32 points across 63 games, and 13:56 average time on ice.
He carries a $4.175 million cap hit on a deal that expires this summer, when he’d be a restricted free agent with arbitration rights.
Per Aaron Portzline, #CBJ are looking for futures (prospects and/or draft picks) in a deal for Dmitri Voronkov. Additionally, Don Waddell indicated there could be another move now that Ivan Provorov has returned from injury.

Columbus is last in the East and already traded Kirill Marchenko to Toronto for Matthew Knies just before the season.
