Wayne Simmonds Trade Rumors

Wayne Simmonds is a key young player of the Los Angeles Kings. Along with Drew Doughty and Anze Kopitar, the Kings are expected to contend for the Stanley Cup in the 2010-2011 season. Simmonds has disappointed so far, scoring 8 goals and 7 assists in 37 games played. The Kings are considering trading Simmonds.

The Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers have been scouting the Kings and are showing interest in Simmonds. GM Dean Lombardi is in no rush to trade Simmonds because his team is currently 4th place in the Western Conference. Lombardi is quietly entertaining offers as the rumors keep flying.
