Matt Moulson Trade Rumors

Trade rumors continue to surround the New York Islanders. The Islanders are sitting at 14th place in the Eastern Conference standings - 8 points ahead of the last place New Jersey Devils. While it is a surprise that the Devils are at the bottom after finishing last regular season second in the East, it is no suprise that the Islanders are near the bottom for the 2010-2011 NHL season. The Islanders are a rebuilding team not expected to make it to the playoffs.

With talented players like Mark Streit, John Tavares, Matt Moulson and Dwayne Roloson, the Islanders may have suprised some. Unfortunately, Streit was injured for the season and Roloson was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Moulson has scored 14 goals this season on pace to repeat his 30 goals.

Rumor has it the Islanders are listening to trade offers. Moulson is a UFA and needs to be signed by the February 28 trade deadline. Snow is willing to trade Moulson even though he said he wants to be a part of the Islanders future.
