Clarke MacArthur Signs 2 Years with Maple Leafs

The trade rumors surrounding Clarke MacArthur ended today when he signed 2 years with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The contract is worth $3.25 million per year. MacArthur had a breakout season with the Leafs last season, scoring 62 points in 82 games.

The signing does have some risk involved. The left winger struggled to get half as many points in previous seasons. The term is short so MacArthur can prove to the Toronto Maple Leafs that he is a top winger in the 2011-2012 NHL season.
