Ryan Suter Trade Rumors

The Nashville Predators are having difficulties signing top UFA defenceman Ryan Suter for the 2012 NHL season. The Predators signed goalie Pekka Rinne and want to keep their other two core players in Ryan Suter and Shea Weber.

Weber is a RFA and needs to be signed as well. A choice must be made between the two defencemen because the Preds cannot afford to sign both and stay under the salary cap. The Philadelphia Flyers, Montreal Canadiens, Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers are interested in making a trade offer for Ryan Suter before the 2012 NHL trade deadline.
