Tuomo Ruutu Trade Rumors

Trade rumors are running rampant when it comes to Tuomo Ruutu and the Carolina Hurricanes for the 2012 NHL season. The Hurricanes are out of the playoff picture and many players are underperforming, making a substantial trade imminent.

Ruutu is having a decent season with 15 goals and 11 assists in 50 games played. He has an even plus minus on a poor Hurricanes team. The 28 year old has a cap hit of $3.8 million and is about to become a UFA. The gritty center is most likely going to be moved before the 2012 trade deadline to the Detroit Red Wings, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils or Boston Bruins.
