Breaking: Lou Lamoriello will not return next season as Leafs General Manager

Brendan Shanahan, President and Alternate Governor of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced today that Lou Lamoriello will not return next season as General Manager of the Maple Leafs.

After completing his contractual obligations and getting the team to where it is today, the Maple Leafs will be moving on from Lamoriello.

Who is next? Is of course the big question. Marlies GM and Leafs Assistant GM, Kyle Dubas seems the logical choice. However, one cannot turn a blind eye to the work Mark Hunter has done for the organization at the draft. Perhaps the Leafs have other plans.....
