Video: Where is Maple Leafs Training Camp Being Held Next Season? Newfoundland?

The tweet has been removed but its too late. The cat is out of the bag.

In a media scrum interview Mike Babcock may have dropped some news which was likely being held for a later date.

One of the dedicated fans from "Leafs Nation Newfoundland" on Facebook was able to screen shot the Tweet before it was deleted.

Shortly after the tweet rolled out, the media scrum video ended up on YouTube.

This should come as no surprise as, Newfoundland has always been considered to hold one of the strongest Leafs fan bases outside of the GTA. Newfoundland has had a long standing love affair with the Maple Leafs.

 St.John's played home to the St.John's Maple Leafs from 1991 - 2005 when they moved back to Toronto and became the Marlies.

The Leafs newest ECHL affiliate, the Newfoundland Growlers are about to start on their inaugural season and one can only assume, the Leafs organization are looking to pay tribute to their die hard fan base on the eastern reaches of Canada by putting off a Leafs training camp on the islands.
