BREAKING: Nino Niederreiter Traded to the Carolina Hurricanes

After a series of minor trades over the past few days, we finally have a trade with some significance.
The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired Nino Neiderreiter from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Victor Rask.

Neiderreiter has spent his whole NHL career in Minnesota, scoring 112 goals and 231 points in 498 career games. Niederreiter's contract carries a cap hit of 5.25 million dollars until July of 2022.

Heading back to the wild is 25-year old centre Victor Rask, who has collected 63 goals and 163 points in 339 games with Carolina. His contract has a cap hit of 4 million dollars until the end of the 2021-22 season.
