Brad Marchand weighs in on the Marner contract talks

As we all know, the Toronto Maple Leafs have dug themselves a hole by signing William Nylander, Auston Matthews, John Tavares and many more before thinking about Mitch Marner who is having once again an amazing season.

At the end of this season, the Toronto Maple Leafs will have to choose who they want to re-sign for next season. So far, they have 6 roster players that will be restricted free agents and 4 players that will be free agents at the end of the season. The Leafs only have a projected $3,985 million in available cap space next season.

After Marner's agent called out the Leafs' organization earlier this year, Toronto will have to do something about Marner. Trade him before the deadline? Trade someone else before the deadline and sign Marner?

Out of all people, Boston Bruins Brad Marchand gave the hockey world a piece of his mind regarding what Marner deserves.
I can't wait to see this kid's new deal... 12m AAV? It better be #MarnerWatch, Marchand shared via Twitter.
A lot of people including Maple Leafs fans have stated that they'd rather have Marner than Nylander on the team next season.

What will Toronto do?

Sign Marner to a 12M AAV
Trade Nylander to sign Marner
Sign Marner to a bridge deal
Let Marner sit it out since he's a RFA
Trade someone else instead then sign Marner
