John Tavares, Auston Matthews and Nazem Kadri respond to Marchand's comments about Marner contract talks

Yesterday, Boston Bruins Brad Marchand made a somewhat motivating yet trolling comment about the contract talks involving restricted free agent Mitch Marner and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

When Boston Bruins Brad Marchand made comments about the contract talks between Mitch Marner and the Toronto Maple Leafs and how much Marner should be earning per year. There were mixed reviews by fans. This is the comment he made on Twitter.
Following the Maple Leafs practice on Tuesday, most of Toronto's superstars were asked about Marchand's comments, and they didn't seem bothered by it whatsoever.
Well, that's Marchy's kind of personality. I mean. realistically, its really got no effect on anything, John  Tavares had to say on the matter. Knowing Brad a little bit though my times playing with him, that's a little bit of his personality. He likes to mix it up, I think certainly in his play, but, like I said, it's really nothing you worry about. It's something you chuckle at and just move forward.
As far as the tweet, I mean, it's pretty funny, Auston Matthews told the reporters. I'm sure like you said, kind of half of half there with stirring the pot and a lot of truth behind it.
It's just him being him and he likes to make those controversial comments, but it is what it is, Kadri stated. I think he appreciates the talent Mitch has and so do a lot of people.
This is far from being the first time Marchand has said something about the Toronto Maple Leafs on his personal Twitter. Have a look at his Tweet in 2017.
