Report: Ryan Callahan to be bought out

After a disastrous post-season, the Tampa Bay Lightning will have to regroup and focus on what they have planned for next season. But according to New York Rangers insider Larry Brooks, the Tampa Bay Lightning are looking to part ways with Ryan Callahan and his atrocious contract.

If the Lightning don't buy Callahan out, he will cost the franchise $5.8 million next season, and with players like Brayden Point wanting a big contract, it makes tons of sense for the new general manager Julien Brisebois and the Bolts to look at parting ways with the forward.
Ryan Callahan will likely be a buyout, Brooks stated in his latest column in the New York Post.
