Montreal trades 'big' forward to the Nashville Predators

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a trade to announce. According to hockey insider, Pierre LeBrun, the Montreal Canadiens have traded 6'6 centre, Michael McCarron to the Nashville Predators in exchange for minor league forward, Laurent Dauphin.

Dauphin, the former 2nd-round pick of the Arizona Coyotes, is a 6'0 centre who currently sits with 16 points in 33 games with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals. The Quebec resident will get a chance to play for his 'home team', as Dauphin heads back to Quebec where he spent his junior career with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens.

McCarron on the other hand, couldn't find a home in Montreal's bottom six, and has fallen down the depth charts quick. The former 1st-round pick has managed 14 points in 29 games with the AHL's Laval Rocket, and will hope a change of scenery will bring new opportunity.

More to come as changes continue in Nashville and Montreal.
