Rumor: Nashville Predators To Sign Mike Hoffman

Mike Hoffman of the Florida Panthers is an unrestricted free agent and he is reportedly not interested in staying with the team. Although Hoffman is now 30 years old, he has had fantastic point production in his last 6 seasons. The Nashville Predators are the frontrunners to land the veteran winger.

Hoffman is ranked 16th in the NHL for point production in the past 6 seasons. He is a smart and skilled player, and he and Matt Duchene were teammates in Ottawa during the 2017-18 season. His current cap hit is just $5.1875 million, which is a great bargain for a player who averages nearly 55-70 points per season. Adam Vingan of The Athletic suggests he could be reunited with his former teammate in Nashville.
