Maple Leafs are aggressively shopping 3 forwards

The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to try and pull off a trade to free up some cap space, and there's a consensus around the league it's coming down to moving a combination of three players.

The Leafs have discussed Andreas Johnsson, Alexander Kerfoot and William Nylander with multiple teams, as they are looking to free up roughly $8 million dollars to make a huge run at free-agent-to-be, Alex Pietrangelo.

Johnsson has been linked to the Edmonton Oilers, Kerfoot has been linked to Detroit and Nylander has been linked to Florida.

While this would create big holes up front, the likes of Nick Robertson, Jeremy Bracco, and Adam Brooks will all be given a chance for some significant minutes with the big club next year. All this comes down to is timing and if Pietrangelo informs the team he's interested in a deal, the trades will be finalized.

The Leafs are buzzing and it won't be long before another trade is announced by GM, Kyle Dubas.
