Rumor: Noah Hanifin to the Bruins

Last month we shared that the Calgary Flames were close to acquiring Taylor Hall and Sami Vatanen from the New Jersey Devils, in exchange for Sam Bennett and Noah Hanifin. Turns out Hanifin is back in trade discussions and it's another eastern conference team.

Insert, Hanifin's home town, Boston Bruins.

According to Bruins 'insider' Jimmy Murphy, Boston and Calgary have held discussions and Hanifin is on the Bruins' trade radar for next season.

What kind of deal to expect if Hanifin is dealt?

Given that Hanifin is only soon-to-be 24-years-old, and under a very reasonable contract for the next four seasons at $4.95 million, the package heading back to Calgary will be significant. Would Jake DeBrusk and John Moore be enough? Not likely, but that would definitely be a conversation starter.

Keep an eye on the Calgary Flames as they are finished plucking players from the Vancouver Canucks and have moved on to the rosters of other teams.
