Blue Jackets' Tortorella Talks Pierre-Luc Dubois After Monday's Game

The Columbus Blue Jackets are full of drama and it seems like head coach, John Tortorella is smack dab in the middle of all of it. First it was Pierre-Luc Dubois requesting a trade and his head coach coming out to the media and getting in front of it. Then Torts benched Max Domi and those two started butting heads the first week of the season and now....Tortorella is denying he benched Dubois during Monday's game against the Red Wings.

While it seems like the drama isn't going to stop anytime soon considering who the coach is and their best player wanting to play for another team, but Torts wants us all to know...slow down boys:
You guys are really dissecting this benching and sitting. I guess I benched Max [Domi] the other night, you said. Slow down boys. You'll know when I bench someone. I have to make decisions when the game is being played, when I think someone is going at certain times. But don't try to manifest something as far as the benching. That's all part of a three-period hockey game.

Despite only one point in his first three games, the 22-year-old Dubois mentions the trade request is not weighing on him and from all accounts he is being very professional about the entire situation.

Expect a deal to sooner than later if the team keeps making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
