New York Rangers Name New Head Coach

The New York Rangers have found their new bench boss as the team has hired Gerard Gallant to be their new head coach.

The news was expected as we reported last Monday that Gallant was the front runner and expected to be named. Gallant, the former coach of the Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers has quickly become the hottest name of the market after leading Team Canada to a World Championship. The native of Prince Edward Island helped get the team in order after losing their first three games and did so in impressive fashion.

The 2018 Jack Adams award winner for coach of the year has long been rumored to be tied to a few different teams and it looks like the Rangers have outbid the Seattle Kraken. Gallant has sure come a long way since the Florida Panthers fired him and made him find his own cab away from the arena. Congrats Turk!
