3 Underrated Players The Seattle Kraken Should Take From The Central Division

The Seattle Kraken will have plenty of options to choose from the Central Division. Some big names include Vladimir Tarasenko, Matt Duchene and Ryan Johansen. However, although it is always exciting to bring in top-of-the-line talent, it is also important for a team to possess strong depth. Thus, the Kraken have a handful of underrated options they should consider from the Central Division, too.

Here are three notable players who fit this description.

Calle Jarnkrok (Nashville Predators): The Nashville Predators may have their two big centers exposed, but Calle Jarnkrok may be the smartest player to add. He quietly had a better season than both of them, as he recorded 28 points in 49 games. He also has the ability to play both center and the wing, which is a nice benefit for a forward to have. Lastly, his cap hit of $2 million seems like a real steal given the type of production he had last season.

Dylan DeMelo (Winnipeg Jets): Dylan DeMelo is a must-have player for the Kraken, He is a reliable right-handed defenseman who can help the penalty kill out significantly. Although his offensive totals have gone down a bit since his days with the Sharks, he is still a very effective NHL player. He also has three more years left on his deal and a $3 million cap hit, so they would have him locked up for some time.

Joonas Donskoi (Colorado Avalanche): Joonas Donskoi had a career year this season, but it hasn't been talked about that often. In 51 games, he scored an impressive 17 goals and registered 31 total points. He seems to be overshadowed by the loads of talented forwards the Avalanche have, but he warrants so much more respect. He not only contributes well offensively, but is a great asset to have on the penalty kill, too.
