3 Potential Trade Destinations for Jonathan Toews

The Chicago Blackhawks may have some major decisions to make this season and into next summer. The franchise is in shambles right now and many are suggesting it may be time to completely overhaul their roster. That brings us to 'Captain Serious' Jonathan Toews and some potential landing spots should he be willing to waive his no-movement clause.

3 Teams Who Could Potentially Be Approved By Toews

Winnipeg Jets: It would be amazing to see Toews go back home to Winnipeg. He's a staple in the community and does a ton of charity work back where it all began. Doesn't hurt the Jets are legit and have a good shot at the Stanley Cup. If there's a team to label as a favorite, it's the Jets.

Colorado Avalanche: The Avs are a team that can find a way to make the money work as Toews is due $10.5 million next season. He would be a great compliment to their group and a proven leader both on and off the ice. The Avs wouldn't need him to be 'the guy' and after missing a season, that would be music to the ears of the Blackhawks captain. The Avs have enough prospects in the cupboards to make a trade work.

New York Rangers: Toews would be a huge get for the Rangers and someone who would slide perfectly into the second-line role for Gerard Gallant's team. The Rangers have a couple young defensemen who could get the Blackhawks' attention and it's certainly going to be easier trading Toews to the eastern conference.

At this point it's unlikely Toews gets moved this season, but depending on how the year shapes up in the Windy City, some major changes could be on the way next summer in Chicago.
