Florida Panthers To Be Without Two Players

The Florida Panthers are heading into Tuesday night's game against the Calgary Flames without Sam Reinhart and Mason Marchment, as both players have entered COVID-19 protocol.

After a little bit of a slow start with the Panthers, Reinhart has really improved since. In his first 32 games with his new team, the 26-year-old has nine goals and 17 assists. With that, he also sports a plus-6 rating. While he's forced to miss some time, the Panthers will surely miss him in their top six.

Marchment just returned to the lineup in late December after missing almost two months. He has looked excellent since returning, as he has a goal and two assists in three contests. The 26-year-old has been a very solid surprise this season in general, too. In 13 total games, he has two goals and 10 points. With this, he's already matched his production from last season, but in 20 fewer games.

With this news, these two are actually the only two players in protocols for the Panthers. Defenseman Olli Juolevi just left them, so he should be returning to the lineup for Florida soon. In four games with his new team, he has zero points and a minus-1 rating.

Assistant coach Tuomo Ruutu has also entered COVID-19 protocol.
