Penguins Receive Huge Boost Ahead of Ducks Game

Pittsburgh Penguins fans rejoice, Evgeni Malkin makes his triumphant return to the ice on Tuesday as the Penguins legend will make his season debut on Tuesday in Anaheim against the Ducks.

Malkin underwent offseason knee surgery and has yet to play this season. He's been ramping up his rehab and after a long fought battle to get into game shape, he's ready to return. Recently the long-time Penguin mentioned his knee has never felt better and he's going to be explosive out there.

The Penguins have been playing well without Malkin in their lineup thanks to the likes of Evan Rodrigues, Bryan Rust and company who have been carrying the load. Malkin is expected to start the night on the team's second line, in between Kasperi Kapanen and Jeff Carter.

Last season the Russian forward appeared in 33 games and recorded 28 points. He went on to post five points in four Stanley Cup playoff games. Tonight, a new chapter begins as the Penguins welcome him back with open arms and a record of 20-8-5. Malkin is in a contract year and is hopeful to stay in Pittsburgh to finish his career.
